The server is in 1.9/1.10 because they wanted to use the new features in the updates. Don't think they'll be going back to 1.8.

Pretty sure Spiggot wont be able to support 1.8- lets say 1.11 or 1.12 or 2.0 idk... Anyway Im sure after some time that Hypixel will have to update...

The server is not going to back to 1.8 as stated above. But if you are referring to the ender pearl countdown they had in 1.8 it is a +1 for me!
