Totally dissagree. I was the first Polish translator, and now a proofreader. I can only say one thing...
There wasn't enough translators at all. Imagine having to translate 5k words in like a week. Three translators, considering they also need time for their private lives, will do it in like a week. There are also random posts that need to be translated out from nowhere, flooding our spreadsheets and slowing the workflow.

That might be true since I don't know exactly how much work you need to do. But it still no excuse for giving a rank with perms you don't need. Now your going to get people who don't want to help the server but they just want perms and plus rank.

Pues a mi me encanta, ya que es bastante innovador, por lo que no se ha visto en nigún otra Network, y eso le hace único a CubeCraft.

Exactly like with Helper applications. There will always be people who just want rewards. But I think a rank for *the most dedicated* members is adequate, considering there will only be a few of them. Also I'm sure we can easly handle all the "I wAnT a RaNk" applications. There are many members dedicated to all the recruitment.

They are helper for a reason, to see if they have what it really takes to be a mod. If they only apply for the rewards they will most likely be turned down to be a mod. They didn't even discuss this with the other Moderatos, like they have no voice in who are joining their staff team? Aren't they a part of the staff team as well? Its not like the server can't continue without translators but that's different with mods. Without mods the server wouldn't be able to keep running because it will be overtaken by rule breakers. And yes maybe a rank for the most dedicated translators should be there, but isn't plus rank and obsidian perks enough? It still doesn't mean they should have more perks than a Helper. Also Its really sounding that you only support this because you think you have a big chance on getting this rank.

There are not a lot of people who actually appeal for translator that's why there is always this message in the lobbys to try to get new people to become a translator. If out of no where a lot of people now start appealing for Translator its pretty obvious that they are only trying to get the rank.

I need a translator for this

I think it's a good way to motivate people to make great contributions to the server with high quality translations. The CubeCraft Translator Community is awesome right now and hopefully it will stay that way in the future. I don't think it's fair to say that there are always people who just go for the rank thus this is a bad idea.
It's the same with helper like @Spuuuni said:

"if someone applies only for the rank they will be instantly denied. This has always been a thing, even before the Translator rank existed."

There are so many players who look up to special (staff) ranks. If a person only wants to join because of the rewards, that doesn't have to be a bad thing. They still need to prove that they can contribute quality translations for cube. If they can, then they put in the hard work to earn a reward. Then motives won't really matter.

I think everyone performs better / work harder if they get something in return. That's just called being human (or Dutch lol).

It's also good marketing.
