Bedrock IP ban hackers

Hi, as there are infinity accounts per Minecraft bedrock edition purchased Hackers do not care, I chatted with one of them (in-game) he told me "I don't care if you report me" yes that's it THEY DON'T CARE because they just make a new XBL account & continue ruining our experience, IP banning Bedrock players is the solution. Hope admin team makes this happen!

someone told me they asked this already and got the answer: brothers and sisters play same game so it will not be fair.
1. they aren't that much
2. someone said sth on discord which gave me the idea of first 1 week ban. then 1 month. 6 month. 1 year & Perma ban, I think they will learn they shouldn't use cheats?! after getting banned 4 times.
surely this will eliminate hackers 99%.

This is actually a great idea; I'm totally agree with this one, the big problem of bedrock is that you can create as many accounts as you want so this mean the hackers won't stop. We already have a similar feature in java, it's called "Blocked connection" it's to avoid VPN/use of multiple accounts.

I had the same idea as solution just ip ban them. But I knew a lot of hackers that will just change their ip and go on. But I think Most of the hackers will be gone then. So like it

Yeah a lot of hackers especially on bedrock are just kids who download a hack cuz there bored most likely their parents won’t even know so yeah

But for some the little hacker kids just ruin it for their brother/sister if they would ip ban them but I think that is something they have to think about because they can’t just let the hackers come back to cube on multiple accounts

That’s true then they can tell their parents and change their up and the little kid will get in trouble

I ask you: are most of players hackers? "NO"
Some sad children cuz they hacked & they are banned < A Safe server with no hackers in.

No not most of the players are hackers that’s why I agree to op ban hackers but it’s not as easy as u think it is

I feel you @CubeMaster .
However IP bans are a bit more complicated than that due to the following..
- Yeah there is the case where siblings play on the family wifi, although usually in that case they are hacking together.
- Many mobile networks globally use dynamic ip addresses so that a users IP will change per session or periodically.
- Also most hackers worth their salt use VPN which makes it basically impossible to trace them over multiple sessions/ xbl accts.

I spend a great deal of time as admin on a server tracking down alts of hacker/scammer/perverts/etc that I've perm banned and unfortunately that is just the reality, IP bans have a high risk of impacting innocent people and are only effective when the hacker is too dumb to use VPN and always shows up on the one or two IP addresses.
There are plugins that try to identify and block known VPN IP ranges but these will impact your server player numbers.

It is a tough balance to manage perm IP bans without killing off half your player counts and impacting your server stats so the truth is that ip bans are ineffective 50% of the time.

Actually, it's a very good idea, since they won't be able to hack into other accounts.

But what's the problem, you can buy another account and say that they should cut you off from ip because the account belongs to your brother.
