Actually i dont like overpowered either, but there has to be some profits for buying an rank, and because of the minecraft EULA everyone profits of an donator.

But without donaties Cubecraft wont exist, so we gotta offer donators something Like overpowered.

I was talking generally. I found OP mode a completely broken and almost unplayable gamemode that isn't about skill, but luck. For instance, Full iron V Full diamond in any gamemode on OP mode, Diamond wins. Every. Single. Time. Unless that guy is just really bad or has Mcdonalds Wifi. And I dont think that me buying a rank will solve anything, especially since there are so many donors that will be able to counter my counter.

Well, eggwars won't improve unless they run low on money, which then they will bring in another flavor that will get people salivating for it, no matter if its literally a 99% copypaste of the other game modes with enderpearls, people eat it up. Quality? What's that? I cant hear over all the money. No, but really, they wont improve unless they run low on money, not if the community wants it. Also, 'its their choice' argument is very flawed. Yeah, im totally going to leave it up to those people to choose which way im going to be set on fire, whether it be well, medium rare, or rare. Oh boy, which version will they pick? You will likely not see that much normal mode anymore on maps that are well designed, even if people want it because there just has to be 1 donor there to change it, and the players cant do anything. Now, if they were 3 unique game modes with their own strengths and weaknesses, then sure, fine, but Op mode is a 99% copypaste of the other game modes but with 1 or 2 unique items and PVP that lasts much longer unless you use a cheese strat like bow spamming them into the void or spleefing them. "Its rather selfish"
Oh yeah, calling out the content team of the server for blatantly creating 2 different game modes that decrease the quality of the normal version by either having you take too much damage or too little damage, and have it be up to the people who gave us money on which way it will go. That's totally selfish. I'm not asking to be given almighty power. I didnt focus on it since i didnt see it as that necessary. But now ill have to explain. *Clears throat* If the content team made the 3 game modes different, unique game modes that change up the rules of the game in a meaningful way that forces you to adapt strategies you wouldn't normally do in a fun and unique way, then it would be fine, we wouldn't get the same boring, mundane copy pasted gamemode every single time. We would probably see more action from the other game modes since people wouldn't have such a group bias toward a certain one. But no, too much effort. We needs moniez fastz.

Also, usually, the maps that most people, including myself would like to to onto are ones that people generally like since they are good maps, so once you do find it, donors will probably fill it and instantly turn it to Op mode. So unless you would like to be on a terrible map or a map nobody plays on, you would have to play OP mode. I did say there would be a person there telling me to screw off, didnt I? I just thought it would be a mod or an admin.
I'm fine with Hardcore mode, Op mode and normal mode, IN MODERATION, but thats just not how they were designed. EVERYBODY chooses Op mode, so it gets stale if you want to play on good maps, since you will be playing the same strategies and get bored of it very quickly, just like i have. In fact, if im alone, i dont play eggwars since you will probably need to communicate quickly to deal with people, and its even more stressful if your team doesnt have good gear and has no egg, while the other team has wonderful gear and has an egg. The overwhelming favor is for the other team to squash you like an ant.

BTW, you cant ignore something like this. It sticks out like a bloody sore thumb that has a splinter stuck in a nerve. It sticks out, and it usually hurts to do stuff with. Alot.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it should be removed completely. I know there are many players who love op mode because it allows long gameplay so they have more time to get what they need and stuff. I personally love playing with my friend on 2 player Forest map on op mode, we try to build a fortress of 100% obsidian. It's fun to try, and it gives us something to do while the enemy camps. We never get to finish it tho. Nevertheless, as I previously mentioned, many players love op mode and cubecraft wouldn't remove it, it would be removing an advantage gold+ players get and they don't want to do that.

OP, in my opinion, is a good game mode, and shouldn't be deleted. There would be a lot of controversy if OP was removed, like it being too hard when there's an overpowered player.

I'm a little late but I love the randomness of op, once in 1.8 (don't kill me ;-; ) I punched a full diamond off while shopping :) that's why I love op and it'll be my favorite :D That's my take :P

Honestly, @DanielSch, I know that you dislike OP, but some people like it, like me. I won't flame you or anything, but "A 99% copypaste of other game modes with e-pearls" isn't what everyone thinks. It may be what some people, like you, think, but it probably won't change OP anyways.

Also, CC mostly cares about making the majority of their players have enjoyment on their server, not change accordingly to one person's ideology. And, this is why, like @xx_360noscope101 said, I think that it's absurd to get rid of OP.

Well, what does everybody think? I see it as incredibly similar, if not identical, to the other gamemodes but with longer (for me less interesting fights, since they dont change. Same strats work, but they take longer, unless you hit somebody off of the edge, which still is a 1 Hit KO, because void.) fights and enderpearls, which you can use to get onto somebody's island and take out their egg without them being able to react. If you have the enderpearl, you most likely have part or full diamond armor, and if you have a teammate, then you likely both have really good armor. You have the overwhelming favor to trash the other team unless they also have that gear. Normal mode's damage values on armor and weapons arent so high that you will 1 shot everybody (unless void) and not too low that you will be poking a tank with a stick. (if you get to the point that people have full iron, you most likely have a better weapon that will be able to do more damage to compensate for their higher defences.) But in OP mode, at a certain point, people's weapons do laughable damage to them unless you break their armor first, which is the case for every fight, which takes longer than it really needs (unless void.).

And no, CC doesnt care about you, nor the community. It just cares about whats popular. And when people wise up and realize that the OP mode they are praising is a nearly identical copy of the normal mode, theyll change it up because people would do normal mode more since they would think: "OP mode is like normal mode but with 1 more item. Why are we praising it, again? Lets just do more normal" and then they will add OPOP mode: a mode that adds a wither spawn egg so you can make your enemies into swiss cheese. Emphasis on the 'cheese' part.

I see Op mode as an example of the ATROCIOUS quality control on this server. CC wont get rid of Op mode since its the newest meme, so people are trying to play it more. But when it gets stale, they do an Apple and make another one that either makes miniscule improvements or just 'puts lipstick on the pig' so to say. Y'know, or they could just make donating much more necessary to play the mode you want on the map you want with the people you want.

I probably wont be commenting any further on this thread since im basically preaching to the choir at this point. So....

'If you don't want to play OP then dont play it'- easier said than done for maps that are more popular and good. And there isn't an option to turn it off other than /leave, which just wastes time trying to find the same map again. For example, I spend an eternity trying to find the 'Space' map again. and most of the time its OP mode, but sometimes its normal, but thats around 30% of the time, actually, maybe 15%.
I said that editing it was an option. To make it less like normal mode and more like something different and unique. Rather than a reskin.
I dont see how knowing people who want OP removed and asking people if they like it or not really matters. Mostly because the community would have such overwhelming support FOR OP mode that they'll do their best to hide any negatives with it, which i can find a few.

I can't understand why people say the games in op are longer... I vote op in every single game I play, because it's faster and it avoids campers. With 20 iron you can get enough gear to break 1-3 eggs, and even enough to eliminate the players, while in normal, you have to have more iron » more waiting time » less action...

Considering that you take it upon yourself to basically go to war with every person who disagrees with your point of view, I really don't think you're exactly a saint either.
Bottom line is that you disagree, while the overwhelming majority likes OP. I'm sorry, but Cubecraft can't cater to one person's interests. If they could, they sure would. But those who "donated" (ugh I really don't like that word) should be able to decide what they like. I'd rather see a revamp of the map selection considering how it favors Treehouse and Aztec way too much. That should make it easier for it to find a normal game in the map of your choosing, which I'm sure you would appreciate.
