School Grading Systems

Does your school/school district grade using numbers or letter? I.e. A perfect grade is a 100 or an A+, etc.?
I'm just wondering. If you don't go to school atm, just say what your local school district does. The point of this thread was that I was just curious.

Personally, our school district uses numerical grades, I always thought letter grades were stereotypical.

They will tell you how many points you got out of 100 as well as a letter grade at my school.

They show the percent of a grade I have, and the letter that corresponds. But the way they grade the homeworks and such always confuses me.

Effort
A* = Great
A = Good
B = Ok/Not Great
C = Bad
D = It actually says this right - Frankly unacceptable

Attainment/Achievment
1= A*
2=A
3=B
4=C

And the Attainment is done on exams and Homework but the effort, well is how much effort you put in :3

Normally if you get a D or. C you get put on report which means you get an effort grade for every lesson
