deep inside my mind...
I don't think that this is something that is needed. From the perspective of a player, this would seem like a cool idea. You would feel more power over someone else when you gave them a warning. Though it's not completely necessary. As Tacos said in the beginning, you could just say in chat "Name don't <insert offense here>". It's not that difficult.

For the people who are concerned about being muted, it's mainly the muted player's fault for getting themselves muted. So they should think about what they put in chat before they type it. I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for players that say the horrible things in chat. I've seen excuses/explanations saying that "it just came out". That kind of thing doesn't really work when you have to move your hands and consciously think about what you are typing in the chat box.

Bottom line from me, I wouldn't want staff to have to worry about yet another spammable command that normal players have access to. I feel it would stress staff out more. Just don't be lazy and warn the way shown in the reporting guidelines.

I feel the real reason why we need this command is not for ease of use but for language support as I have warned people for teaming who only seemed to speak Spanish/Dutch and I would ♡ to have a command that wars people in their own language.

I love this idea! This makes warning people easier to see (In chat), plus it allows warning to be done WITHOUT accidently breking the rules. Thumbs up

This will also help in the following secnario (Posts screenshots of swearer) (Sees report denied due to no warning) (Pms Mod) ( complains about not knowing how to warn)(Mod says there is a command).

I like this but I think people would spam warnings.
Then we mute them or we decrease the amount of people who get to use the command.
And if that doesn't work just ignore them.
Only you and the player will see the command anyway.

Also, typing <player> please stop (offence) isn't that hard.

Not that it isn't hard but it would make warnings allot easier using Tab not to mention that it would look cleaner and there is a higher chance the player would listen.

I agree with Tacos and Sno on this one, adding this would make things rather complicated than convenient. If someone swears, warn them by just mentioning their name and telling them to stop doing whatever they're doing wrong, easy does it. Also, you don't get perm muted out of the blue, you've been swearing quite sometimes if you're muted permanently and not being able to report some rule breakers are one of the consequences you'll have to face for breaking the rules multiple times.

Maybe a bit of a dumb question, but do chat prefixes exist on Cubecraft Java like they do on Bedrock?
