How to tell if someone is hacking? - GUIDE!

To OP: Sometimes it's worth watching hackers record and play with their hacks on to learn how the hacks work on both ends instead of from the victim's end. This is how I learned about what hackers use behind the scenes (often ESP for example). Just watching a hacker from 3rd person view isn't enough.

Again, like anti-KB, kill aura settings can be adjusted. Some clients also have a "smooth" kill aura, making it look like a legit combo when it's not. How to spot? Very hard. It's much easier from first person (spectator mode into the suspect) where you can see when they hit as the crosshair touches the enemy's hitbox.

But there is a downside to those. For example kb reducer, yes it still gives a little kb but not enough for you to get hit off the edge, but it can cause really glitchy movement.

My name is Nikoshka and I will be doing a guide to show some of the common hacks players use on Minecraft due to the fact that some players don't really understand what hacks are. Hopefully this post might get pinned so more people would see it ;). @Mac

First of all, what is hacking?

Hacking is when you download or create a client which can give advantages towards yourself such as being able to fly to other islands in Eggwars when other players can't or being able to not take knockback meaning you can cross a bridge in Skywars without having to worry about getting shot off the bridge. On Cubecaft, hacking is NOT allowed and if you see a hacker in a game then you should immediately gather video evidence and report it on the forums in this section: https://www.cubecraft.net/forums/report-a-player.24/

Why do people hack?

People hack because they believe it is "cool" or "fun". In all honesty, it just spoils the game for others.

Common Hacks

Red = Hard to spot and record
Orange = Not too hard to spot and record but it can sometimes be difficult
Green = Easy to spot and record
Italics = Game which hack used in ( [Red = Rarely] [Orange = Sometimes] [Green = Often] ) (Abbreviations used. [SW = Sky Wars, SG = Survival Games etc..] )

Movement Hacking

Fly Hacking - This is basically where a hacker can fly to another island using his client. Here are some videos to show what it is. (SW, EW, Lobby, BW)

At the beginning of this video, the player is using fly hacks to get across to the other island. It gives an unfair advantage to him as he can fly but others cannot.

Glide Hacking - Glide hacking is basically like being able to use an elytra and not take fall damage when you are gliding off a high place.

Spider Hacking - Spider hacking is when you can climb up walls without the use of any sort of ladder, just like a spider. (SW, PvP)

Speed Hacking - This is when you run faster than normal vanilla minecraft. (SW, EW, As, PvP, LI, BW, SG)

Bhops (Bunny Hops)/ Lowhops Hacking - This is where you jump faster/more often than you can with normal vanilla minecraft meaning you can move faster. (SW, EW, As, PvP, BW, SG)

Sneak Hack - This is when you sneak faster than normal. (SW, EW)

Jesus Hack - This is when you can move across water. (SG)

NoSlowdown- This is when you can move across water without slowing down an not needing enchanted boots. (SG)

Anti-Knockback Hacking

If a player is using Anti-Knockback hacks then he cannot take knockback from anything. This means you won't be able to shoot this player off the bridge fight OR hit him off the edge of an island when you melee fighting the player on an island. Some clients also reduce the amount of knockback you take so it may be harder to spot the fact that the player is hacking.

As you can see, this player is not taking any knockback from my punch bow. This means they are hacking

JUST TO NOTE: Lag is when you are frozen and you don't move and you are taking no knockback. Anti-knockback still means you jump up / move a little bit and down when you are hit, as shown in the video. Also, with lag, if the player suddenly then starts to move after being frozen and they start taking knockback then they aren't hacking.

Fast-Place Hacking

This is basically when you place faster than normal, as shown in the video below:

Kill Aura + Melee Combat Hacking

This is easier to detect if you are in spectator mode. Kill aura is a lot more complicated to explain but there are five main aspects to detect if a player is using Kill Aura or not.

1) If he constantly keeps hitting armour stands or other entities - Animals, villagers, anything which is considered as an "entity".
2) Frequent head snaps - If he snaps his head like in the video below. He hits the closest player to him as shown in the video where he is AFK but tries to hit whoever is closest to him.
3) Reach - If he can reach further than normal minecraft punching reach.
4) Criticals (HACK on it's own but sometimes comes with KA) - If he makes critical hits when he isn't even jumping in the air.
5) Hitting while eating or in a menu - If the player is eating whilst hitting then that is Kill aura. If he is also looking in a chest (FOR EXAMPLE) whilst hitting then he is using Kill aura.​

This player was AFK in the lobby with Kill Aura on. You can see that he is making frequent head snaps to try hit the player that is closest towards him.

Bow Hacking

Aimbot - Very difficult to spot. You can spot this if the player is making snappy movements with his head when trying to shoot his target with a bow. (SW, EW)

Watch the snappy head movements when he tries to go for one target but aimbot switches to the other target.

Fastbow - This is when you shoot arrows at a rapid speed. (Rarely seen)

This thread is not showing you how to hack and by reading this thread you must understand the consequences of getting BANNED if you hack.

There are ways to blacklist certain clients to make it so you can't join the server using them. He might've been talking about that :)

What? This isn't a thread which points out about what hackusating is or stuff like that. It's just explaining each of the hacks you can see people use on the server. I have already added fly hacks into the list...
