First off, I've never seen a hacker learn from their mistakes, so I'm obviously gonna disagree with this. If it's 5 years later like you said, they can appeal and surely cube craft will unban them of they realized what they done. But I doubt that most hackers would ever learn. They know that they are ruining the games for others which wastes time. And for perm mutes, people are warned before they get muted. Actually, for perm bans, a hacker gets banned for 3 days which should be a good enough warning for them. But as far as I can see, most hackers ignore that warning and continue hacking.

The rule is simple: Don't hack, are you'll get banned. If you don't want a permanent ban, just don't hack in the first place. + you're already given a second chance, since your first ban would be a temporary one.

Dear Cubecraft,
I got banned in December 2016 for hacking, and indeed I hacked! I actually got perm ban, but luckily Lezappen accepted my second appeal (After a year, so now).

I think you should NEVER give a perm ban/mute. Players learn from their mistakes. What if a 10 year old hacks, and 5 years later he actually is "grown-up" and doesn't do that kind of stuff anymore!
NEVER perm ban/mute! NEVERRR!

I've never agreed with things that are permanent. Like being in prison (In real life), but okay!
My point is: Do you actually realise how long permanent is? 1 year is incredibly long to be banned (BELIEVE ME ;p)

Kind regards,
Berre
I don't agree.
Just don't hack.
It's your own fault if you're permanently banned!

For a Perm Ban for hacking in MOST cases that would be the 3rd time you have been caught hacking. If you didn't learn from the first two I don't think you will learn. As for Perm Mutes, in MOST cases it takes 5 times for you to receive the perm mute.

Keep perm bans and mutes because then it deters people from hacking etc more. Some people wont learn their lesson. Also pretty rich coming from someone who hacked...

Completely disagree with this to be honest, this is one of the few servers I have seen to give hackers a second chance within such a small time period, if they abuse their hacks then they 100% deserve a permanent ban. It's the only effective way to get rid of hackers.

If the hacker wants to appeal after a long, long time like over a year, then if they apply meaningfully to be unbanned and clearly show signs of remorse, then I think it's fine to unban them then.

Wait, wait.
You were banned for hacking?
No wonder you're asking such a frivolous question.
Maybe you should be innocent before asking for such things lmao.
Oh and yea, I see you encountered the "appeal" section.
I think that exists for a reason.

no hacking is pretty fun. like on a private server... i have a lot of clients and uses them on private server.
I actually, I tried to hack once on a single player world and found it pretty confusing. I tried to go onto cubecraft and see how it works. Just give up after that.
